WebMar 26, 2015 · Remove the shifter assembly, and adjust the nuts to where they are in the middle of the threads on the adjusting rods on both ends. Place the transfer case in 4lo, connect the shifting cable and adjust it from either end until the stud reaches the center of the shifter mounting point, on mine there was about a 1/2" gap at the console when in 4lo.
