WebOculomasticatory myorhythmia (OMM) is pathognomonic of Whipple's disease and thought to be a form of segmental rhythmic myoclonus of the brainstem involving ocular and masticatory segments of the midbrain and upper pons and, less apparently, segments of the lower pons and medulla.
