I hear the starter click once but the starter won't fully engage and turn the motor over. WebI have a new starter, ground strap, and battery. Before it used to always start without hesitation then randomly would slow crank. Eventually it progressed to sometimes not starting, but if I left the car and came back 15 minutes later it would start fine. Then finally it progressed to never starting, when I try all I hear is a single click. If you do get it running check the voltage again across the battery terminals. With the car running the voltage should read over 14 volts. The strap is located behind the passenger tire, to the rear of the front tire. I removed the aluminum stiffening plate to make it easier to get the bolt on the frame. All in all a very simple job, but a bitch going through everything to locate the actual problem.
